James J. Lynn, DMD (Doctor ) was born and raised in Greer, SC. He is a graduate of Erskine College with a Bachelor's of Art Degree in Biology and Education and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduating from Erskine College, he began his career teaching Biology and Physical Science at Greer High School. He later decided to go to dental school because of his love of dentistry. Dr. Lynn has been practicing dentistry in the Upstate of South Carolina since his graduation from MUSC in 1974. He is an active member of the American Dental Association , a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry . In addition, he is a member of the Greenville County Dental Society, the Tri County Dental Society and the Piedmont District Society. He is also a member of the Easley Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Lynn attends First Baptist Church of Easley with his wife of 36 years, Susan Sullivan Lynn. Together, they have two children, Dabny and Tristan, with families of their own. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lynn enjoys running (has completed 25 marathons, including 10 consecutive Boston Marathons), playing music in a Carolina Beach Band, boating and water sports (Licensed Coastguard Captain), and collecting classic cars. "My main philosophy in dentistry is to provide each patient with the quality care and service I would extend to a family member, focusing on their total dental health. I believe 'a beautiful smile starts with a healthy smile.'"
Susan S. Lynn, RDH, BA (Office Manager and Dental Hygienist) was born and raised in Travelers Rest, SC. She received her Associate degree of Health Science in Dental Hygiene from Greenville Technical College, Bachelor of Art in Education from Clemson University, and her Master of Education from Furman University. She is certified in radiology and nitrous oxide. Susan’s goal is to make our patients feel like a member of our dental family. Combining her extensive knowledge and love for teaching, Susan does an excellent job of educating patients about procedures, costs and insurance policies. When away from the office, she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Denise H. Smith, CDA (Dental Assistant) was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. She completed the Dental Assisting Program in 1983 and is certified in nitrous oxide and radiology. She loves working with Dr. Lynn because he treats his patients and his staff like family. When Denise is not at work, you can usually find her with her husband, Kenny, and grandchildren, Gage and Blade, at the ball field.
